The National Bowl, Milton Keynes, an iconic concert venue hosting the major names of Rock and Pop music as well as Festivals and other large scale events.
1973 saw the creation of a huge horse-shoe shaped mound surrounding an area which could be utilised as an arena to host major public-attended events based on the idea of the Hollywood Bowl. In 1977 earthworks completed and open-air concerts discussed.
