MK Dons SET was established in 2007 working alongside MK Dons FC, with the purpose of establishing the MK Dons brand within the local community, and helping build the club’s legacy, through a range of activities. The SET operates around five main areas: Education, Health, Social Inclusion, Participation, and Football Development.
Over 50,000 people are reached by the SET’s work every year, working in conjunction with organisations such as Milton Keynes Council, NHS: MK, local schools, and junior football clubs. The work The SET does includes obesity-tackling programmes, coaching, and holiday courses, to name just a few. Since its foundation, the team has grown from 15 part-time employees, to 27 full-time and 31 part-time team members, plus over 50 volunteers.
The vision of MK Dons SET is to be a leading driver of sporting, educational, social, and lifestyle opportunities, around Milton Keynes, the wider region, and across the UK.
