Stadium MK is set to play host to UK's Strongest Man over the Platinum Jubilee Weekend.
The UK’s Strongest Man, known as the toughest strongman competition in the world, made its debut at the stadium in 2021 in front of 12,000 strongman fans, selling out on 2 out of the 3 days of competition. It was the biggest strongman event ever held!
Strongman is back at Stadium MK.
For the 2021 competition, held at stadium MK, 16 athletes took part in some fantastic strength tests which included:
In the end it was the huge 200Kg Welshman, Gavin Bilton who won the title. Bilton only won one of the five events but never placed worse than fifth in any event showing his consistency in an enthralling battle which delighted the fans of Milton Keynes.
Last year the competition wasn't the only entertainment of strength on show. In addition to Bilton winning for a second consecutive year, the contest saw a strongwoman deadlift world record attempt by Lucy Underdown. The brit successfully lifted 300kg, the first strongwoman to deadlift that milestone. The record has since been beaten by American Becca Swanson (310kg) but could there be a return in an attempt to bring back the record the Great Britain in 2022?
The Channel 5 hit show will be back even bigger for 2022!
The three day event will include fun activities for fans of all ages to take part in, including the famous Ardblair stone challenge where participants get a chance to try and lift as many of the atlas stones as possible in the fastest time, with prizes being given out each day.
