Today, 28th April 2022, marks LoveMK Day. Destination MK, the official tourism organisation for Milton Keynes celebrates everything Milton Keynes has to offer.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of LoveMK day and for the past ten years, LoveMK Day has aimed to promote Milton Keynes while also asking people to take pride in the place they call home.
Over the past 12 Months Stadium MK has been proud to bring great events to the community of Milton Keynes, particularly with the return of fans back in the seats of the Stadium and the Marshall Arena to witness amazing sporting events.
2022 has seen MK Dons compete at the top of Sky Bet League One with just one game to go, this Saturday away to Plymouth Argyle, as the club aim for automatic promotion. Which could top off an already impressive season.
This year Stadium MK also welcomed back fans in support of MK Dons FC Women, who have been battling it out in the FA Women's National League. Like the men, the women's team have just one game to go with survival in the league riding on the result. This Sunday it's an all important fixture and the support of the fans all season long has helped the squad and with it all lying on the final game the team need the support of the Milton Keynes community. The Summer of Sport will continue with Stadium MK bringing world class international football to Milton Keynes this July with the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 tournament coming to town. Milton Keynes will be front and centre of the biggest women’s European sport event in history after being hand-picked as one of nine host cities for the hotly-anticipated UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.
Stadium MK, home to MK Dons, is guaranteed to host at least four matches throughout the tournament which kicks off at Old Trafford on July 6. The matches include:
- Spain vs Finland
- Denmark vs Finland
- Finland vs Germany
- and a semi-final match on July 27.
