Due to Covid-19 Stadium MK have taken the very difficult decision to postpone this year’s FestiveL – Circus, the latest in a series of hugely successful festive party nights in the Marshall Arena.
FestiveL™ began in 2018 when the large indoor arena was transformed into an Alpine Resort, complete with curling lanes, cable cars, and ski shot bar. In its first year the venue welcomed over 7,500 guests.
In 2019 FestiveL took on a New York vibe, with subways, a sports bar, and Broadway themed entertainment. An impressive 11,100 guests chose to celebrate at FestiveL of New York.
The planned FestiveL - Circus event will now be postponed until December 2021, guests can expect a dip-dazzling array of entertainment and delicious food, all served under the Big Top!
Andy Gibb, Group Director of Sales and Marketing said:
‘Whilst we’ve been fortunate as a venue to continue to do business during this very difficult time, we are conscious that delivering FestiveL to the same high quality and scale as in previous years would be difficult given the current Covid-19 climate with its social distancing regulations and the degree of uncertainty for events of this size and nature.
‘As a business we are hopeful that the situation will ease over the coming months and we are reassured by the volume of enquiries from businesses and individuals for smaller events such as - hybrid meetings and social gatherings. We are looking forward to welcoming football supporters for the new season, and have confirmed a number of live events in the Marshall Arena from October 2020 onwards. Both the DoubleTree by Hilton and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill re-opened to the public on July 4th , and we are pleased with the numbers choosing to dine and stay with us.
It’s been a really difficult decision to make but we were unanimous in not wanting to deliver an event of a lesser quality or atmosphere than in previous years.
FestiveL will be back bigger and better than ever in 2021, we look forward to delivering the best experience possible to all of our guests’
